Another year has come and gone, and we don’t know about you, but we are looking forward to the New Year! We hope 2020 was a good year for you, but there’s no time like the present to start thinking about what you’d like to do differently in 2021. Be Present in the Moment
In this day and age, it’s so easy to forget to take time to be present wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, and whoever you’re doing it with. From texting, scrolling through social media, to even recording and taking pictures during a hike, there’s just so much noise that can get in the way. Whether you’re all packed up and on your way to your next adventure or sitting by the campfire, make a conscious effort to really enjoy the experience. Breathe in the stillness of the forest, relax and recline by the lake, or engage in quality family time with a rousing night of games and fun! There‘s so much to do that’s waiting for you. Make sure you don’t miss it.
Don’t Have a Plan
Let’s be honest — the plans we make rarely work out the way we want them to. In fact, it seems like the more we try our hardest to stick to a plan or itinerary, the more stressful everything becomes. Make it a goal this next year to be more impulsive, to escape for a weekend in your travel trailer and go wherever you feel like in the moment! Visit a National Park in Your Home State
Oftentimes we are so concerned about traveling across the country that we forget about the treasures buried within our own home state. For 2021, take a step back and admire all that your state has to offer. Visit your local state or national park, wildlife reserve, hiking trails, or historical attractions. You’ll be surprised at all of the hidden gems you’ve missed over the years!
Take the Road Less Traveled
An important resolution for the New Year would be to take things slow and take the road less traveled. Everyone is always in a rush to get from one place to the next lately that they don’t take the time to actually enjoy the journey. Instead of driving along the interstate, go an alternate route and drive the byways. Give yourself room to breathe and to enjoy the countryside! Eat at that little diner and get that big glass of sweet tea. Take the family and go blueberry picking at the farm down the road, or buy the freshest fruits and vegetables at the local farmers market. The best part about traveling in an RV is being able to make memories along the way, so be sure to take full advantage of each trip!
Go Stargazing
No matter who you are, there’s something awe-inspiring about looking up at a star-filled night sky. Stargazing is an incredible pastime that is just not possible to do when living in the city. Take some time this year to visit your favorite RV parks and spend time with family and friends looking up at the stars. There is always something magical happening in the night sky, so be sure you don’t miss it! Here are some important dates to keep in mind when planning your next adventure:
