One of the best parts of RVing is the flexibility it offers families. You don’t have to worry about plane schedules, lost luggage, or being stuck in an airport. You have everything you need to enjoy time with the family without the added stress that comes from other methods of travel. And, you get to see amazing things others miss because you’re traveling by road to get there. Traveling with kids doesn’t have to be hard. RVing makes it easier.
Bring The Pack and Play
The pack and play is one of the best pieces of baby gear you can have. It’s a portable crib that folds easily and offers a secure place for kids to sleep and for them to hang out outside or while mom cooks. Make sure your child has adjusted to sleeping in the pack and play before you hit the road. That ensures they won’t be thrown off once you hit the road.
Find a Sound Machine
Campgrounds can get noisy during the day and even around a kid’s bedtime. Grab a sound machine that has battery backup so that any outside noises are drowned out. You will love being able to sleep knowing that the kiddo isn’t going to be woken up because of others enjoying themselves outside.
Stick to a Routine
Deviating from your child’s routine just because you’re on vacation will have disastrous results. It’s important that you keep things as normal as possible. Plan activities around nap times and make sure you have dinner at the same time each day. The more normal things feel the less behavioral issues your child will have. Of course, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on fun. It’s ok to be flexible as well. Just try to stick to the routine about 80% of the time and you’ll be good to go.
