Independence Day is a time to come together with family, enjoy delicious food, and watch gorgeous fireworks while you celebrate the birth of our great nation. If you haven’t yet put together your menu, be sure to check out these super easy recipes that are sure to delight your tastebuds and satisfy your friends and family.

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries

Naturally gluten free and super easy to make, it’s hard to not like this recipe. It has all the flavor and texture of cheesecake, but is portable and can be eaten with just your hands! Fresh strawberries, sweetened cream cheese, and a blueberry to top create a patriotic red, white and blue color scheme.

Ice Cream Sandwiches

In a pinch and need something that quick and easy to make? Head to your grocery store and pick up red, white and blue sprinkles along with pre-made ice cream sandwiches. When you get home unwrap the sandwiches and roll the sides in sprinkles then place on a platter, cover with plastic wrap and set in the freezer until you’re ready to serve.

Star Spangled Fruit Salad

Use a star shaped cookie cutter to cut out star shaped watermelon bits. Add in some  chopped strawberries and blueberries then toss a little sugar to taste (if needed). Top with whipped cream then serve to guests.

Fruit Cubes

Freshen up your drinks by chopping up blueberries and strawberries. Place in ice trays and fill with water, then freeze. Add your fruit cubes to water or other drinks. For an adult version add your favorite liquor to your drink.

Firecracker Hot Dogs

Wrap your favorite brand of hot dogs in pre-made biscuit dough and bake in the oven until thoroughly baked. Serve on a stick with your favorite dipping sauce.
